Check Out Jeff Bridges’ New Spoken Word Album – Sleeping Tapes
His Dudeness, El Duderino, or if you just call him The Dude, Jeff Bridges has been into music for a long time. Like some other celebs, he has a band and plays out from time to time, and released a few albums. Including this new one which is mostly spoken word, and the proceeds got to the No Kid Hungry charity he sponsors.
It’s called The Sleep Tapes, and it’s kind of weird and surreal listening to it. The premise is to help you fall asleep. Most of the tape is just Jeff out recording in different places, like play grounds while he talks to children, humming, and singing, and of course speaking in mellow tones. It’s defiantly right up The Dude’s alley if you pardon the pun. It may not be for everyone, but it’s different.
Find a quiet spot, and get comfy and have a listen and let us know what you think. It’s kind of on the same level as Ken Nordine. you can also have a look at a making of video below.
